Rita Pourciau King Beaman, born on May 5, 1946, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the age of 68. She was born in East Baton Rouge Parish and was a resident of Prairieville, LA. Rita was a graduate of Redemptorist High School Class of 64 and a retired Route Coordinator for News on Wheels. She was a valued employee of ADD, Inc. for 16 years, but most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Olymphe Pourciau sister and brotherinlaw, Wynona Nonie and Robert Schorr and sisterinlaw, Pamela Beaman Pourciau.
She is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Bubba C. Beaman two sons and daughtersinlaw, Darrel and Melissa King, and Kevin and Shawn King daughter, Sherry King and grandson, Justin King and fianc Ashlyn Locke. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Tammy Milazzo and husband Mike Craig Beaman and wife Michelle, and Chad Beaman stepgrandchildren, Johnnie and Crystal Kelley, and Jessie Kelley, Kristi and Ryan Dove, Mitch Milazzo, and Chandler and Brock Beaman step greatgrandchildren, Landon and London Kelley, and Kynsli Dove stepsister and husband, Pam and Al Sanchez and numerous nieces and nephews, all of which were deeply loved.
Visiting hours will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, beginning with a rosary at 4:00 pm with a service to follow. Visiting will resume until 9:00 pm.
