A former area supervisor with Pizza Hut and a native of Ville Platte, he died Monday, July 13, 2009, at 6 a.m. at his residence in Baton Rouge. He was 48, a volunteer for the Republican Party and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Bethany World Prayer Center North, 13855 Plank Road, on Wednesday, July 15, from 11 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Paul Brill. Visting will be at Ardoin Funeral Home, 709 West Main Street, Ville Platte, La. 70586 on Thursday, July 16 from 9am until dismissal prayer at 3pm. Graveside Prayer and Military Service to follow at Prairie Ronde Baptist Cemetery, 1661 Prairie Ronde Highway, Opelousas, La. 70570 at 3pm. Interment in Prairie Ronde Baptist Cemetery, near Ville Platte. Survived by his mother, Belva D. Roberie; maternal grandmother, Vernice Daville; daughter, Brittany Nicole Roberie; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joshua Lynn and Amy Roberie, and Gabriel P. Roberie; sister, Lisa Sylvester and husband David; and granddaughter, Kyra. Preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Roberie; sister, Sandra Roberie Fontenot; and maternal grandfather, Averance Daville. He was a member of Bethany World Prayer Center.
