Rick Larriviere

Frederick Charles Larriviere, age 64, a resident of Prairieville, passed away on June 2, 2018.

He was an optometrist in the Baton Rouge area for the last 27 years.

He loved his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He'll forever be remembered by his selfless devotion to his family and his faith.

He was known for his generous compassion for those in need. He had a special love for the elderly and gave so willingly of his time.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing, golf, writing, Cajun cooking, wood working and music.

Frederick is survived by wife, Claudia Boudreaux Larriviere. Children Dr. Joseph Andrew Larriviere and wife Rebecca and Kimberly Marie Larriviere. Grandchildren, Maggie Larriviere, Jack Larriviere and Andy Larriviere. Siblings, Joseph J Larriviere, Jr. and wife Susan, Laurie Travasos and husband Kirk, David Bruce Larriviere and wife Krista and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph James Larriviere, Sr. and Rita Geradine Larriviere.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Schexnayder, Benjamin Larriviere, Adam Boudreaux and Matthew Travasos.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Louisiana Pediatric Cardiology foundation in honor of his beloved grandson, Jack.

Visiting hours will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm until Mass of Christian burial 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
