Richard Jackson

February 26, 1940 — December 14, 2022

Richard “PopPop” Jackson. Sr. age 82, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on 14 December 2022.

Richard was born in Bridgeport, CT. served in the Army, and had a successful career in construction.  He was married for over 60 years to Dawn Plumb.   He was exceptionally patriotic and the biggest New York Yankees fans.

Richard is survived by his wife Dawn Jackson, his children Loriann Sellars, Wendy Crooks & husband William Crooks, Richard “Rick” Jackson, Jr & husband Brandon Broussard, and Scott Jackson & wife Christy Jackson.  He had 14 grandchildren, Blake, Lizzie, Max, Scotty, Tyler, Will, Emily, Bradley, Cali, Lexi, Reagan, Andre, Isaiah, and Elijah. He also had 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Agnes Jackson, and his brother Donald Jackson.

Visitation will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 11:30 am until Mass of Christian Service at 1:00pm.   Directly after the service, there will be a Celebration of his Life at Ashley Manor.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to American Diabetes Association in Richard’s name.
