Richard Spaulding

Richard (Dick) Spaulding passed peacefully away at the age of 76 on the early morning of March 5th, 2016. Dick was born on a farm in Harrison, Missouri but spent most of his life in Texas and Louisiana where with great patience, kindness, and unconditional commitment he raised his loving family. He was a self-made man, leader, and professional; he managed a successful power distribution service businesses for Westinghouse and Eaton Corporation where he retired from in Baton Rouge, La; he pioneered power circuit breaker retrofits; he was musically gifted and played the guitar and was part of the talented music group known locally to many local retirement homes as the "up beats"; he was the ultimate tinkerer and it is not likely there is a power or hand tool made that he does not have.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sandra (Sandy) Spaulding; children Jimmy and wife Stacy, Jerry and wife Joy, Jodie and husband Robert (Bob) Bunker; grandchildren Stephanie, Kyle, Brittney, Ariel, and Ashley; also survived by siblings, June Baars and Frank Spaulding and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was a good man, great father, grandfather and father in-law, dedicated loving husband and will be missed by family and a lifetime's worth of friends.

Services will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home with visitation starting at 9:00 AM until services at 10:00 AM on 11 March 2016, located at 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge LA 70816 / 225-753-1440.
