Richard Ray

Richard Kent Ray died peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at age 64. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Byrd Ray, his children Keren Elizabeth Ray, MD and her husband Cory Hulsey, Julia Ray Davis and her husband Dalton Davis, a grandson Sterling Richard Davis, his mother Jan P. Ray, brothers Carl Ray and wife Anne, Alan Ray and wife Pam, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard L. Ray and wife Nora. The great joys of his life were time spent with his family, gardening, Christian fellowship and sharing his faith in God with others. Services will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be on Thursday, 8/31 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Friday, 9/1 from 10:00am until 11:00am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00am, with burial to follow.
