Richard Parent

Richard J. Parent, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, surrounded by his family.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  Richard is survived by his wife of 44 years Janet, daughters Melissa McCrory (Dax) and Michelle Temple (Robert), and his siblings Patricia Crifasi, Reggie Parent, and Robin Parent.  He is also survived by four grandchildren, Morgan McCrory (Cole Stapler), Connor McCrory (Storm Aschebrock), and Addison and Avery Temple.  He is preceded in death by his parents Cleve and Willie Mae Parent.  Visitation will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, February 28th starting at 1:00pm until mass begins at 3:00pm.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Reggie Parent, Dax McCrory, Connor McCrory, Robert Temple, Cole Stapler, and Trey Crifasi.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Richard’s name to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice through the Palliative Care Foundation or Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all his caretakers and nurses from Clarity Hospice.  Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
