A retiree from Allemania Chemical and Barnard and Burk Engineering, resident of Baton Rouge and native of Corning, N.Y., he died 7 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his residence. He was 86 and a U.S. Navyveteran of World War II. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ken Carroll. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by wife of 60 years, Evelyn Pulley Louden three daughters, Nancy Lett and husband Tim, Luanne Pusateri and husband John and Lyn Hassenboehler and husband Greg a son, Richard Rick Louden Jr. and wife Debbie eight grandchildren, Christine and Steve Lett, Paul and Brian Louden, David and Joey Pusateri and Ashley and Brad Hassenboehler and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Flossie Louden brother, Ralph Cambell and sister, Peg Davis. He received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, the Louisiana Association of Professional Engineers, the St. Andrews Society of Baton Rouge and Chi Epsilon. He volunteered at Broadmoor Elementary School and the Community Ministries. He loved fishing and Virginia Tech and LSU sports, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.
