Richard Green

Richard W. Green met his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 27, 2013. He was a native of Merryville, Louisiana and resident of Baton Rouge. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather. He was faithfully devoted to his Lord Jesus Christ and his wife of 62 years, Helen. Family was his greatest joy and fishing with the love of his life was his favorite pastime. Richard was a charter member of Cross Point Baptist Church. He retired from G.A.B. after working as an insurance adjustor for many years. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Helen Nichols Green daughter, Leslie Jan Noble and husband Jesse son, Peter Lee Green and wife Stacy Furlow Green three grandchildren, Alyssa Green Dryden, Jane Helen Noble, and Joshua Taylor Green and greatgrandson, Holden Dryden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Doris Taylor Green. Visitation will take place at Cross Point Baptist Church, 14965 Airline Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70817, on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 10 am until funeral service at 12 noon conducted by Pastors Nick Taylor and Byron Townsend.
