After retiring, he had the time to spend with family and friends taking in his favorite past-times including all LSU sporting events, travel – including Cancun and his favorite vacation, a cruise. He was always happiest taking in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Richard was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents. Richard had the best laugh and the biggest heart. A phenomenal cook, his claim to fame was receiving runner-up at the Jambalaya Festival for his award-winning recipe.
