Rhonda Williams

Rhonda Laporte Williams, beloved wife of Cecil Williams, proud and loving mother of Matthew Paul, Brian Paul and the late Anthony Paul Williams, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at her home in Baton Rouge. Rhonda was the daughter of Edith B. Laporte and the late John O. Laporte sister of Cheryl L. Simmons and husband James, and Karen L. Musgrove and husband Leonard. She was the loving stepmother of Steven Paul Williams and wife Joellen, Michael Paul Williams, Wendy Williams Lutgring and husband Michael, and Jeffrey Paul Williams and the grandmother of Collin and Stephanie Williams, and Allyson, Lindsey, Leigh Ann and Emily Lutgring. Rhonda was born Oct. 15, 1956, in New Orleans, and after a valiant fight with cancer, left this life to live with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday at age 53. She leaves behind a niece, Lauren Musgrove Johnson three nephews, Jason St. Cyr, Eric St. Cyr and Christopher Musgrove and many other family members and friends who love her dearly. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation services at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, April 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am, celebrated by the Rev. Tom Ranzino. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America at curesarcoma.org
