Rhonda Knight Hereford

Rhonda Sue Knight Hereford passed away unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, December 9, 2023. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Rhonda is survived by her husband, Trey Hereford; son, Derek Hereford; daughter-in-law, Samantha, and her two grandchildren, Beckham and Brooks. Forever remembered by her siblings, Wayne Knight and his wife Robin; Mark Knight and his wife Sandy; and other aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and other assorted family and many caring friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earleane Goodman Knight and Rayford Knight.

Born on March 14, 1960, in Grove Hill, Alabama, Rhonda was a dedicated wife and shared 34 beautiful years with her husband, Trey. Together, they created a home filled with love, happiness, and laughter.

Rhonda’s caring demeanor was evident in every aspect of her life. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and especially adored her son, Derek. Her love extended further, as her favorite title in life was “RaRa,” affectionately named by her precious grandsons. She had a special place in her heart for children, and when she wasn’t spending time with her grandsons, she was caring for the Mills children, (Ezra, Silas, Elias, Jonas, and Micah) whom she loved like her own.

Rhonda’s nurturing spirit and guidance touched many lives and made a lasting impact. When she walked into a room, she never went unnoticed, from her contagious laughter, smile, warmth and flair for fashion, Rhonda would brighten any atmosphere or occasion.  She never met a stranger and welcomed anyone and everyone with open arms. She leaves behind a legacy that will shape the lives of those who had the honor of knowing her.

While we are saddened that our time with Rhonda has ended too soon, we rejoice in knowing she is home and no longer in pain. We will always love and miss you and look forward to the day we meet again.
