Rev. Paul F. Barker, age 82, died at noon, Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical CenterBluebonnet. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and native of St. Joseph, Mo. A retired Church of God minister for 67 years, he served in the Church of God denomination as a pastor, evangelist, state youth director, and administrator bishop over three states. Also, he was a member of Lee University Board of Directors. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Monday from noon until 1 p.m. service at Maranatha Fellowship Church of God, 1433 Sharp Lane, Baton Rouge. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Cleveland, Tenn. Survived by his wife, Gladys Barker three daughters and sonsinlaw: Paulette and Roney Delaney, Debbie and Tim Burdashaw and Beth and Jason Forbus brother, Ralph Barker and wife Grace six grandchildren, Plilip Anderson and wife Alisha, JohnPaul Burdashaw and wife Allison, Kara Randolph and husband Dustin, Becky Sue Burdashaw, Bethany Anderson and Lexie Forbus and four greatgrandchildren, Cameron, Brianna, Kinsley and Jaxson to be born in spring of 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Grace Barker three sisters, Laverne Barker, Laveda Skoge, and Helen Barker.
