Retha Bryan

Retha June Tomlin Bryan, of Baton Rouge, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. She was born to Bennie O. and Eula Odessa Griffin Tomlin on Oct. 24, 1930, in Columbus, Ga. She worked in the insurance industry for a number of years before deciding to be a stay at home wife and mother to her husband and three children. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Calvin Roy Bryan brother, Fred Tomlin and his wife, Marietta son, Bruce Bryan and his wife, Pam son, Dennis Bryan and his beloved friend, Teresa daughter, Amy Bryan Greco and her husband, Frank and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and granddogs. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent cook. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, Wednesday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society , the Alzheimers Association or a favorite charity.
