Evelyn Renee Landry passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011, after a lengthy battle with complex regional complex syndrome in Baton Rouge. Born on Aug. 2, 1952, in Mobile, Ala., to Paul and Evelyn Landry. She graduated from St. Charles Borromeo High School in 1971 and attended LSUBaton Rouge from 19711975 where she received her B.S. in Secondary Education. While attending LSU, she played on the girls basketball team for three years. Renee coachedtaught 7th8th graders Physical Health Education at Lutcher Junior High School from 19751979. She followed in her fathers footsteps as a chemical operator, at Dow Chemical 12 years and BASF five years. She received her EMT certificate in 1994. Her passions were the sun, and beach devoted to her religion and family loved by many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Roques Landry and her older sister, Fran Landry Frick. Survived by her father, Paul T. Landry, Jr. lifetime partner of 16.5 years, Myra McKenzie two stepdaughters, Tiffany Andersen and Krista Harrison five stepgrandchildren sister, Joan E. Landry brothers, Paul T. Landry, III, and Edmond N. Landry. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Landry IV, Peter Landry, Wes Landry, Nate Landry, Andrew Landry, Kai Landry, April Pristenback and Teri Jackson. Visitation will be on Thursday, Aug. 11, at 9 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, followed by a memorial service at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Remembrance at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
