Reita Passmore

Reita Mae Lawrence Passmore was born in Carthage, Mo. on Aug. 8, 1923, passed away at the age of 94, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lawrence of Carthage, Mo. Reita is survived by her sister, Marcella Willoughby; sons, James Passmore and his wife, Denise of Baton Rouge, Joe Passmore and his wife, Ellen of Denver Colorado, John Bruce Passmore of Riverside, Ca. and one daughter, Glenda Drake and her husband, Martin, of Nuevo, Ca. She also leaves behind one granddaughter, Stephanie Passmore, and three grandsons, Brian Drake, Stephen Passmore and Cole Passmore, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Norman Glenn Passmore, her brother, James Lawrence and two sons, David and Stephen.

Reita lived a beautiful life with the most loving husband that we know she is so happy to be reunited with. Having spent her life serving the Lord and setting an example for her children and grandchildren, we are all thankful for the legacy that she has left us.

Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA, 70816. Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 20th, 6:00pm - 8:00pm and also on Sat. Oct. 21st, 8:00am until funeral service at 9:30 conducted by Pastor Vosberg, burial to follow.
