Reginald Meyers, Sr.

Reginald L. Meyers, Sr. "Reggie", age 85, a resident of Walker, LA, passed away on January 3, 2017.

Reggie was a Navy Veteran who retired out of Local 582 as a welder with 37 years of service. He loved watching sports. He was the beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Crawford and husband Durel; his sons, Reggie Meyers and wife Beverly and David Meyers and wife Susan; his seven grandchildren, Monica Tarver and husband John, Michelle Gaines and husband Mike, Ashley Mabile and husband Jared, David Meyers, Jr., Mitchell Crawford, Mason Crawford, and Miranda Crawford; and four great-grandchildren, Destin Meyers, Micah Ashford, Laura Dollar, and Hunter Dollar. He will also be sadly missed by his pet dog, Maggie.

Reggie is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Janice Moreau Meyers; his mother, Alma Lanier; and his father, Leo Meyers.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 9:00am until funeral service at 11:00am. Burial will follow.
