The world lost a beloved wife and mother, Rebecca Lynn Wilson, on February 23rd, 2022. Becky was born in Wichita, Kansas, but lived her whole life in Baton Rouge. Becky dedicated her life to her family, caring and always giving them her full support. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time on the beach. Becky was a graduate of Lee High School and attended LSU, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She worked as a religion teacher at Trinity Episcopal Day School for several years, as well as an avid volunteer, known as the “book lady” with the Rotary Interwheel. Everyone knew her as a kind soul, always willing to cheer people up with a hug and a smile. Becky is survived by her husband of 58 years, Stewart Wilson, her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Patrick Schiele, her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Wilson, her daughter-in-law, Jodi Wilson, her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Darryl Smith, her sister-in-law, Carol Baker, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Stewart Wilson, Jr., her parents Glenn and Shirley Baker and her brother Michael Baker. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Geraldine Taylor and Hospice in His Care. Friends are invited to say a final farewell to Becky at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Saturday, March 5th with visitation at 1PM and the service at 2PM.
