Raymond Eugene Jarreau, Jr.

Raymond Eugene Jarreau, Jr. (Little Ray), age 66 of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023.  He was born on March 9, 1956, in Baton Rouge, LA to Raymond Sr. and Gwendolyn “Gwen” Jarreau.  Ray was a 1975 graduate of Tara High School.  He was owner/chef of Sapelo Station Crossing in Eulonia, GA before moving home to be closer to family.  Ray is survived by his father Raymond, Sr.; brothers, Barry and Mark (Mary Jo) Jarreau; nephew, Brian (Maggi) Jarreau; nieces, Marti (Greg) Price, Maria Jarreau, Marissa (Jon) Satterwhite; his great-nephew and niece, Connor and Caroline Price; his dog, Lucy; and numerous aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Jarreau; grandparents, Farrel Sr., and Lucille McDaniel and Joseph Ally and Mabel Jarreau.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:15 p.m.  A Graveside Service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  Family and friends may sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
