Raymond J Broussard, Sr. passed away May 4, 2016 at his home in Baton Rouge, at the age of 83. He was born in Leroy, La. but was a long time resident of Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Catholic High School and attended LSU. He was retired from the Civil Engineering Industry, a member of the YMCA and loved the game of golf. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. Proceeded in death by his parents Zachary and Effie, brother Alvin, sister Jeanette Achord and brother- in- law Lester Achord. Survived by his loving wife of many years, JoAnn Broussard and their sons Raymond J. Broussard Jr, Brett Broussard and Alden (Gene) Broussard and wife Melanie Broussard. Survived also by his grandchildren, Jacqueline Broussard, Katelyn Broussard, Justin Hebert and fiance' Amanda Whitehead, Alexandra Kaminski, Mason Kaminski, 2 great grandchildren Devin and Shawn and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, many loving neighbors and friends.
Visitation to be held at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church, 16266 S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, Tuesday May 17th at 9:00am with Mass at 10:00am and graveside services immediately following at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home.
