Quinnion “Joey” J. Davis passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the age of 60. He was born in New Roads, Louisiana to Quinnon Isaac Davis and Mary Linda Lacour Davis. Joey was a 1982 graduate of Plaquemine High School. He has worked at Dow Chemical since 2011, most recently as their TES Mechanical Technologist Leader for Louisiana Operations.
Joey is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Manske Davis; their sons Lee Davis and wife Leah, and Chad Davis and wife Alysia; and his devoted grandchildren Jase, Adelynn, Presley, Drake, Deacon, Cooper, and Gunnar. He is also survived by his brother Shane Davis and wife Kerri; his nephew Austin Davis; numerous other loving family and friends, and his beloved cat, Smokey. Joey is preceded in death by his favorite dog, Sissy.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Jonathan Mizrahi and staff with Ochsner Health, as well as the doctors and nurses at the Carpenter House with St. Joseph Hospice.
Joey loved all sports, especially LSU football, baseball, and women’s basketball. He enjoyed cooking, bass fishing and had amazing skills with carpentry – one of the last gifts he made was a cedar hope chest for his granddaughter, Presley. They enjoyed traveling, including trips to Little Rock, Arkansas; the ARK Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky; the mountains of Tennessee; and their favorite Branson, Missouri.
Even with his multiple hobbies and interests, nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. Joey will be remembered for having pride in all he did, his amazing work ethic and an unwavering love for family - we will forever cherish the memories and will always wish we had one more day.
