Phyllis O. Davis passed away at Hospice of Baton Rouge on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at 8:45 p.m. She was 61, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Greenville, S.C. She was in the 1966 graduating class of Carolina High School in Greenville, an accomplished artist and had worked for several ophthalmologists before working at the Belle of Baton Rouge. She is survived by three sisters, Barbara Jean Bryant, Gwen Batson and Cookie Brock numerous nieces, greatnieces, greatnephews and her feline companions, Simon and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Inez McClure Owens and two sisters, Pat Flowers and Edwina Grant. A private memorial service will be held at her former residence. Her final resting place will be next to her mom and dad in Greenville.
