A retired petroleum engineer, resident of Baton Rouge and citizen of the United Kingdom, he died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at his home. He was 85, born January 12, 1925, a native of Croydon, England. His father was Albert Ernest Pearson and his mother was Elizabeth Harris Pearson nee Young. He graduated with firstclass honors from Imperial College, London and as an Associate of the Royal School of Mines. He worked in Holland, then Texas where he met and married Mary Marguerite Pearson nee Purcell. Together they lived in Trinidad, Venezuela, Texas and Louisiana, moving to Baton Rouge from New Orleans in 1989. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 10am until service at 11am. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his son, Michael Pearson daughterinlaw, Gaynell Guardina Pearson grandsons, William, Richard and Jonathan Pearson and a brother Albert Geoffrey Pearson of Hythe, England. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Marguerite Pearson nee Purcell.
