Peter Mary

Peter N. Mary died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 67, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Carencro. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Allstate Insurance. After retiring, he worked as a consultant with the Allstate Catastrophe Team in California, Virginia and Florida. Private service was held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 26. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carline Mary; mother, Joy S. Mary, of Lafayette; daughter, Nicole Hernandez and husband Reynold, of LaPlace; two sons, Marty Mary and wife Stacy, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Toby Mary, of Baton Rouge; brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Julie Savoy Mary, of Lafayette; and three grandchildren, Seth Mary, and Rachel and Kristen Hernandez. Preceded in death by his father, Leo T. Mary; maternal grandparents, Ruby and Victor Stelly, who were of Opelousas; and paternal grandparents, Louise and James Mary, who were of Carencro. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. He touched many lives and will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
