Peter Longeway

A history and soccer coach for Episcopal High School and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 62 and a native of Minneapolis, Minn. Visiting at Lewis Memorial Chapel on the campus of Episcopal High School, 3200 Woodland Ridge Blvd., on Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. Survived by his wife, Barbara B. Longeway stepmother, Caroline A. Longeway two sons, Bryan F. Longeway and Russell P. Longeway and fiance Amy Thaxton a sister, Cherie L. Halliday and granddaughter, Caroline Longeway. Preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Longeway Celestine and parents, Frederick P. and Betty Longeway. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Episcopal High School, 3200 Woodland Ridge Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
