Peter Harvey

Peter Ivey Harvey, age 91, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on March 15, 1925 to parents Mary Smith Harvey and Willie Harvey, who preceded him in death. Peter was the loving husband of Eva Mae Daniel Harvey for 63 years. She also preceded him in death along with his eight sisters, Era, Willie Mae, Melba, Emma Lou, Mavis, Wessie, Bura, Mary Jean; and a brother, Loy.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Evalyn Harvey, who was the apple of his eye. He is also survived by a wonderful sister-in-law, Ida Lee "Jo" Allen who was always providing him with special treats. Peter is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces and their children and grandchildren. Among those giving special care to Uncle Pete, are Donald and Chong OK Simmons, Patricia Hofmeyer, Amy and Richard Hamilton, Mark Simmons, and Randy Allen. Heather Booth, Laurel Broussard, Cristin Simmons. David Hofmeyer and Grace Booth were always there to party with their uncle.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
