Penny Kolich, 69, a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. She was born in Piqua, OH, July 23, 1942, and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Penny graduated from University High School in Oxford, MS and received her B.S. from Mllsaps College in Jackson, MS. She later pursued and achieved her M.A in Statistics from LSU. She became Director of the Baton Rouge Regional Tumor Registry and then went on to become Vice President of Research at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Juan Huertas. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband, Charles Kolich daughters: Stacy Starr and husband, Scott, Catherine Coker and husband, Francis sons: Craig Culley and wife, Laura, Todd Culley and wife, Donna, and Jonathan Kolich sister, Jill Randel and 15 grandchildren who she proudly cherished. Preceded in death by her parents, Marvine and Robert Tumbleson brother, Robert Jake sister, Judy Ann Tumbleson, and brotherinlaw, Robert Randel. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.
