Penelope Kendall Bridges, of Baton Rouge Louisiana, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born on Thursday, September 2, 1954, in Opelousas, Louisiana, daughter of the late Francis James and Helen Louise Fox Kendall.
Penny always enjoyed a passionate and active lifestyle. Having a creative soul, she enjoyed expressing herself through the flute, singing, and art. She was a proud member of the LSU marching band during her days at Louisiana State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Penelope also had a deep drive to help our community and youth, often doing so through children’s ministry. She was a member of Community Bible church, the church choir, Rainbow Girls, the Capital City Conservation Council, and Campus Crusade for Christ.
Penelope is survived by the love of her life and husband of 47 years, Arval Edward Bridges. She is also survived by her daughter Janna Bridges Morgan, her sons Seth David Bridges and John Arval William Bridges, sisters Frances Annoise Kennison and Loyce Diane Kendall Zeringue, and grandchildren Preslyn Jenae Savoie Bridges, Mollie Louise Morgan, and Jacob Lee Morgan.
The family of Penelope Bridges wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Pinnacle Home Health, Theresa Centerbar, and the home health aides for all of their help and support.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 9th, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Community Bible Church. A service, officiated by Dr. Steve Foster, will be held at 11:00am at Community Bible Church, followed by burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
