Peggy Bond

Our mother, Peggy Thorgeson Bond, was escorted by angels into heaven on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Her final hours were spent peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. She was 91, and a resident of Baton Rouge. She is survived by her four children, Johnette Bond Normile and her husband Tom John Munson Bond and his wife Michele Marshall Bond Davis and her husband Frank and Dewey Dale Bond. Her children were her greatest achievement in life. She is also survived by her loving and devoted twin sister, Patricia Thorgeson Smith six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Peters Bond her parents Roy Alfred Thorgeson, Sr. and Edith Comeaux Thorgeson her brother Roy Alfred Thorgeson, Jr. and her sister Catherine Thorgeson Smith.A private family memorial was held at Resthaven Funeral Home on March 13, 2012 and then was interred at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. We would especially like to thank her devoted caregiver, Irma Jean James, and the wonderful caregivers at St. Josephs Hospice for all of the love, kindness and support provided us during our difficult time.
