Payton Lynne Williams,
age 13, a student at Woodlawn Middle, was granted her angel wings on Sunday May 25. 2014, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Payton leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. She will dearly missed by all her special caregivers at Saint Jude Childrens Research Hospital and Le Bonhuer Childrens Hospital in Memphis Doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Saint Jude Baton Rouge Affiliate Clinic, Womans Center for Wellness therapists and her nurses from Hospice of Baton Rouge. All these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Payton with love and dignity in her life and also in her death. We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to our Praying for Payton community for their love, support, and prayers over this last year. Paytons life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her loving nature, understood that the quality of her life proved that a short life could be a good life. Payton possessed strength, perseverance, and courage that showed us that each day is a blessing. With Paytons passing, we are reminded that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, she will forever remain in our hearts.
