Pauline Curtis Clifford, age 96 of East Baton Rouge, LA died September 17, 2024. “Polly”, loving wife of Earle R. Clifford, Jr., passed away in her home. Polly is survived by her sons, Michael J. Clifford and his wife, Sandy Murray of Atlanta, GA, William C. Clifford and his wife, Catherine D. Clifford of Walker, LA; granddaughter Crystal Clifford and great grandson, Remy T. Frith as well as sister, Sally Hartikka. 

Polly is preceded in death by her husband Earle “Trap” Clifford in July 2013. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary that year. By her son Robert A. Clifford, grandson Christopher S. Clifford and a brother, Norman Curtis.

Polly spent her childhood years happy, living along the Maine coast in Brunswick and Topsham. Many summers were spent on the family island, Pumpkin Knob. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1946 and the University of Main where she met her future husband in her sophomore year. They were married on August 14, 1948, in Brunswick. 

Polly possessed a lifelong passionate interest in golf, culminating in two holes-in-one and was a long-time member of the Shenendoah Lady’s Golf Association. 

Polly accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior!

Interment will take place at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Jackson, LA on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
