Paulette Beatty

Paulette J. Beatty, age 76, a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away on October 7, 2022 after a long struggle with lung disease

"Old Lady Beatty" was a legendary educator of 38 years and was beloved by thousands of former students.  She recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to Raymond Beatty and was mother to Geoffrey Beatty and Cynthia Beatty Vavasseur and mother-in-law to Abby Beatty and Garet Vavasseur.  She was a beloved sister, mentor, and friend.  Most importantly, she adored her grandchildren: Christian Vavasseur, Nicholas Beatty, Avery Vavasseur, Joshua Beatty, and Gabriel Vavasseur.  Mom never met a stranger, hardly ever kept her opinions to herself, and fiercely loved her family.

Visitation will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memories
