Paul Schulte

Paul David Schulte passed away suddenly on May 31, 2018 at age 58.

He was born in Houston, Texas on May 28, 1960 and grew up there. He was a good HS athlete and excelled in basketball. The family moved to Baton Rouge in 1977 and he graduated from Tara HS Baton Rouge in 1978. He was an avid LSU Tiger fan and was always listening to LSU sporting events over the radio. In his work life, he was a copy machine repairman, a maintenance professional, foreman at a tree removal service, and a Millwright.

Paul is survived by his children, David and Lauren; two grandchildren, Alexis and Gabrielle; mother, Betty Jo from Baton Rouge; brother, Joe Schulte and wife Shivaun; sister, Marian Schulte-Crenshaw and husband Everett; and many cousins.

Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Schulte.

A viewing will be at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Visitation will resume at St. George Catholic Church on June 7, 2018 from 11:00am until Mass at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at St. Gabrielle Catholic Church Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the many professional and compassionate Firemen/EMT's who saved Paul's life on multiple occasions due to complications from diabetes.
