Paul Edwin Hicks

August 5, 1930 - February 24, 2025

Paul Edwin Hicks, born August 5, 1930, in Cameron, WV, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Baton Rouge, LA, at the age of 94.

Paul earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Liberty University and later proudly served in the Air Force. He dedicated his career to the banking industry, working as a Trust and Wills Officer. A faithful member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, he found joy in singing with the choir. 

In his free time, Paul enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing the slot machines passions that brought him peace and satisfaction.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Reba Lorraine Morris Hicks; his parents, Edward and Cora Hall Hicks; his sisters, Leona Hicks, Ruth DeDyne, Thelma Lennex, Virginia Davis, Susan Phillips, and Mary Hicks; and his brother, Phil Hicks.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Tesch (Judy Duffell), and his son, David Scott Hicks (Barbara); his grandchildren, Nicole Tesch, Alexandra Hicks-Harrell (Keith), and Ashton Hicks (Danielle); and his great-grandchildren, Josie, Emma, Lucie, and Benjamin Hicks. 

The family extends special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice - The Carpenter House and the Barclay House for their compassionate care. 

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Paul’s life, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
