Paul Edward Dean, age 76, passed from this world on October 13, 2010 at the Carpenters House in Baton Rouge after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease and kidney failure. At 6:18 pm, he let go of our hands and took hold of Jesus. Praise God He was born in Crowville, Louisiana and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, attending Woodlawn High School and LSU. Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anneliese Eger Dean his daughter and soninlaw, Brenda and Charles Weldon his grandson, David Glen Weldon his sister, Jackie Dean Lally of Seabrook, Texas and his sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw, Margot and Karl Hienz Gregor of Nurenburg, Germany. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Dean, his brother, Buddy Dean and an infant sister, Bobbie Jo Dean. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany where he met and fell in love with his wife. His work career began as a roughneck in the oil fields of south Louisiana. He later worked for and retired from Fidelity National Bank. In recent years, Paul handled his declining health with grace and positive attitude, always looking forward to being healthy enough and strong enough to go fishing one more time. In honor of his wishes, Paul will be cremated and a private dismissal will be attended by immediate family members.
