Patsy Lyon

Patsy Red Lyon joined our Lord on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008. She was 80 years young, born on May 2, 1928, to Cecil Red and Juanita Roberts Red in Houston. Patsy was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Craig Estes, of Brookshire, Texas, and Janet and her husband, Eddie Anderson, of Baton Rouge; son, Michael Lyon, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Frank Red and his wife, Doris, of Houston, and Thomas J. Red and his wife, Mary, of Katy, Texas; sister, Doris Reikosky, of Houston; 11 grandchildren, Garret Hardin, Ashley Estes, Monica Davis, Jamie Lyon, Ashley Lyon, Bryan Thompson, Jeremy Lyon, Jacob Lyon, Sarah Lyon, Rachel Anderson and Evan Anderson; and six great-grandchildren, Brady Davis, Dillon Davis, Grace Davis, Lance Van Lyon, Piper Lyon and Kirsten Soileau. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Lyon; and brother, Claude Douglas Red. Visiting at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 10328 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 1:30 p.m. until service at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Hulen Warren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Louisiana Disaster Response of the United Methodist Church, 141 North 6th St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway.
