Patrick Thomas

Patrick David Thomas, age 33, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015 in Lafayette, LA.

Patrick was a former student at Westdale Elementary School in Baton Rouge, LA. He attended the Progressive Education Program in Asheville, NC, and later attended St. Louis School in Tyler, TX. Most recently, Patrick was a resident of Tison Group Home in Carencro, LA, where he enjoyed daily programs and outings at CIP. He loved playing music and video games. Patrick's two favorite things were laughing and interacting with his family.

He is survived by his father, David Thomas and step-mother Holly; mother, Regina Thomas; brother, Andy Thomas; step-brother, Mitchell Moore; special cousin, Jody Jarreau; Godmother, Judy Scimeca; Godfather, Doug Thomas; grandmother, Dorothy Davis Thomas; step grandparents, Jim and Donna Couch; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patrick is preceded in death by his grandfather, Henry Thomas; grandparents, Roger and Vida LeBeau; and step grandfather, James Ray.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Hwy 73, Prairieville, LA 70769, from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Interment will take place at Oak Lane Memorial Park, 15304 Highway 73, Prairieville, LA 70769.

The family would like to thank the staff at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home and Our Lady of the Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, LA, for their compassion and care.
