Patrick Cooper

January 17, 1944 — October 16, 2014

Patrick Lee Cooper,
resident of Baton Rouge and native of Jennings, LA, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the age of 70. He was a devoted husband, father, and loyal friend. Patrick was a truly compassionate person that believed in hard work, serving others, and accepting each person as they were. He enjoyed spending time duck hunting with his sons and fishing with the grandchildren. Most of all, he loved his wife of 45 years, Genny. Theirs is a true love story of devotion and compassion.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Genny Nichols Cooper sons, Darrell and wife Almie, Charlie and wife Carrie, and Michael and wife Leticia grandchildren, Chapman, Cade, Reese, and Evan sister, Darlene Gary and brother, Greg Cooper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Verna Cooper and brothers, Wayne Cooper and Lynn Cooper.

Funeral service will be observed at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 17510 Monitor Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70817 on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

Matthew 5:9, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
