Patricia Smith

Patricia Annie Smith, age 95, of Brookhaven, Mississippi passed away on May 19, 2016.

Patricia was born in Baton Rouge to Roy A. and Edith C. Thorgeson, on November 22, 1920.

She married the love of her life, Harry Lee Smith, Sr. on April 3, 1941, in Woodville, MS. They were married for 56 years.

Patricia enjoyed her life and truly believed she had a blessed life. She loved margaritas and her bible study at Church of Jesus Christ in Mississippi.

Patricia is survived by her children, Peggy S. Fowler, and Patricia S. Penn and husband, Joe F. Penn and Ronnie E. Beard, Sr.; her grandchildren, Ronnie Beard, Lee Beard, Annie Pealrs, Joe F. Penn, Jr., Kyle Penn, Wendy Foreman, Ty Smith, Joseph Smith, and Shannan Strom; her 29 great-grandchildren; and her one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Smith, Sr.; her son, Harry Lee Smith, Jr.; her son-in-law, John C. Fowler; and her grandchild, Rhonda Normand; and her parents, Edith C. and Roy A. Thorgeson.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., beginning at 10:00 AM until funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow services in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
