Patricia Dolores Housey Marquette died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at Lakewood Quarters Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. She was 95, born on Mardi Gras Day, Feb. 24, 1914, in New Orleans. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans, the daughter of the late Joseph Vincent Housey Sr. and Mary Kenney Housey, and devoted wife to the late Numa Louis Marquette Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Marquette Hutchins, of Baton Rouge; two sons, Numa Louis Marquette Jr. and wife Gail Gilly Marquette, of Baton Rouge, and William Thomas Marquette and wife Cheryl Kupper Marquette, of Madisonville; six grandchildren, Allison Marquette, Andre Marquette and wife Shelley, and Holly Hutchins Stafford and husband Clay, all of Houston, Blakeney Hutchins McGee and husband Harry, Megan Marquette Combs and husband Brent, of Madisonville, and Marcel Marquette, of Metairie; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Eva Marquette Reis and Shirley Goebell Housey; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Housey, Joseph Housey Jr., John Housey and William Housey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Old Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Collins. Visitation begins at 9:30 preceding the Mass.
