Patricia Ann Harris

Patricia Ann Dias Harris, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born May 9, 1946, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Edward Dias and Florence Sparks Dias. She was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School, Class of ’64.

Mrs. Pat worked for several years as a receptionist with Ochsner Medical Center. She was a member of True Light Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Michele Dawn Harris; her sisters, Betty Dias and Catherine Sanders; and her brothers, Donald Dias, Gerald Dias and Jerry Dias. Mrs. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Rev. Mitch Harris; their loving sons, Brian Harris and wife Karla, Craig Harris and wife Melissa, and Tony Harris and wife Amy; and their grandchildren Joey Harris and wife Ashley, Matthew Harris, Andrew Harris, Katelynn Payne and her husband Payton, Kelsey Harris, Cole Harris and Olivia Harris; and great-grandchildren, Nora Kate, Tallulah, Weston and Adalynn; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

The family acknowledges all thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the gift of Mrs. Pat and the love we all were blessed with because she was in our lives. She relished the time she spent with her family and became a friend to anyone she met. When any of us see a redbird, we will know that Mrs. Pat is thinking of us. A true “saint on Earth”, a consistent prayer warrior, her faith was evident to all who knew her, and we will forever miss her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
