Patricia Weaver Comeaux, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 81. Patricia was born March 17,1942, to Mr. Earle Rhysworth Weaver and Mrs. Isabel Fontan Weaver. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1960 and furthered her education by receiving her Bachelor of Bacteriology, with a minor in Chemistry and Master of Microbiology, with a minor in Biochemistry while at Louisiana State University.
During her career, she valued her time as a Research Associate at Louisiana State University, the Louisiana State Board of Health, and Tulane School of Medicine.
Patricia served as the former Executive Director for the Friends of Magnolia Mound, the former Administrative Director of Playmakers of Baton Rouge, and past President of the Junior League of Baton Rouge. She also was co-owner and manager of Wildlife Limited retail store and was the bookkeeper for her husband's dental practice. Patricia was also a member of the Baton Rouge Irish Club and the La Fiesta Dance Club.
Patricia was a woman of many talents and ambitions. She spent her time sewing, reading, and playing the piano. She enjoyed studying genealogy and archeology – which made her love for traveling the world even more exciting!
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Earle Rhysworth Weaver and Isabel Fontan Weaver; brothers-in-law, Patrick Kennedy, Paul Comeaux, Dale Hotard, and Jude Hotard; sister-in-law, Jane Comeaux; and Elizabeth Clark, family housekeeper and beloved nanny who Patricia fondly thought of as her “other mother”.
