Pamela Mire

Pamela Jo Morgan Mire, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Sorrento, LA, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the age of 66.  She was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School and Delgado Community College. She retired from the Louisiana Department of Insurance. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento and served with the Catholic Daughters.

She loved her family, friends, and church parish. In her early years, she enjoyed making hook rugs, playing bingo with her grandmother, and listening to her husband play the drums.

She was preceded in death by her parents, U.J. Morgan and Margaret Taylor Morgan; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Ann and Forrest Mire.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dwayne Mire; brother, Michael Morgan; nieces, Melissa Ritter (Scott) and Linsey Sonnier (Scott); 2 great nephews and 5 great nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 7348 Main St, Sorrento, LA 70778, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
