I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the miry clay, and set my foot upon a rock, and established my steps, and he hath put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Psalm 40:1-3.
