Oscar Staines

Oscar H. Staines, age 97, native of Corozal, Belize. New Orleans, LA resident for 60 + years and resident of Baton Rouge for the past 10 years, passed away on Saturday, January 09, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Barbier Staines; daughter, Nancy Elliott; 3 step-sons, their wives; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his step-son, George, Jr, who is survived by his wife.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 12:00 pm until services at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
