Oscar Southerland, Sr.

A retired employee with Aftercrash Auto Parts, he passed away at 1:15am on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his home from ALS. He was 76 years old, a native of Oil City, LA. and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 5pm until 9pm. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 9am until service at 11am, conducted by Michael Krumholt, Sr. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Seals Southerland daughters Cherie Noble of Baton Rouge and Tena Krumholt and husband Michael of Prairieville eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. and Emma Southerland one son, Oscar Ray Southerland Jr three brothers and one sister. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
