Omie Baechle

Omie Elizabeth Beth Baechle, an only child, was born in Fort Valley, Georgia on March 8, 1927 to Elbert Briggs Fagan and Omie Elizabeth Terry Fagan. She lived in Baton Rouge with her family for many years until she relocated to Magnolia, Mississippi with her youngest son, Brett. She died peacefully and unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Carol, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband Carol Francis Baechle. She is survived by her sons, Brigg Anthony Baechle and wife Betty, Keith Andrew Baechle, Brett Alan Baechle and wife Wendy a daughter, Carol Baechle Harlow and husband Ron grandchildren Brandy Baechle Whisnant, Brigid Baechle Nobles, Holly Baechle Casto, Kelly Baechle, Alexander Jules Russell, Christine and Earline Pierce and several great grandchildren. She was a member of the Army Nursing Cadet Corp during WWII and returned to the nursing field after the death of her husband. She worked for many years at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center Burn Unit. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Chatawa, MS. The family wishes to give thanks to Earline, who lovingly cared for Beth during the months preceding her death. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Private mass and gravesite Christian burial officiated by Father Brent Maher will be held on Thursday.
