Devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest passion was her family. A native of Meridian, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge for 49 years. Mrs. Ollie Jean Morgan Luke passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at age 89. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Drive, Friday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., with the Rev: Ken Carroll officiating. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by loving daughters, Sally Luke Streete and Julie Luke Brown four grandchildren, Brandon Luke Brown, Sally Brown Martinez and husband Gregory Martinez, Julie Anne Streete Estep and husband Chad Estep, and Jeana Morgan Streete two sistersinlaw, Chris Luke Ellis and husband Jim Ellis, and Martharene Luke Smith and husband Jim Smith two nieces, Angela Brooks and Christy Alison three nephews, Allen Chandler, Mike Ellis and Scott Ellis and 10 greatnephews and greatnieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harvey Luke Jr. parents, Hubert and Sallie Morgan and a brother, John Hubert Morgan Jr. Mrs. Ollie Jean Morgan Luke was a longtime member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she held numerous local and national positions. A special thanks from her family to her loving and compassionate caregivers, Hannah Martin, Lois Dominique and Alice Milton. Memorial donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
