Olivia Burton

Olivia Joyce Burton, 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at The Baton Rouge General Hospital due to a cardiac arrest brought on by an asthma attack. A resident and native of Baton Rouge, LA. Joyce was a long time employee of Franks Restaurant who loved to be on the water with her friends in Pierre Part. She was extremely outgoing and her jovial personality blessed all who knew her. She loved her families in Pierre Part and Franks Restaurant dearly. She is survived by her son, Travis E. Burton parents, Edwin and Grace Boudreaux Burton significant other, Darrell Dugas two sisters, Joan Burton LeBlanc and husband Kenneth, and Emily Burton Bowman and husband David brother, Steve Burton 12 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents two aunts, Kathy Prouty and Marie Trosclair and two uncles, George Tippy Burton and Alvin Burt Burton. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Catholic Church, from 9 am until funeral service at 11 am conducted by Rev. Mike Schatzle.
