Olga Cannon

July 6, 1967 — December 14, 2020

Olga S Cannon, 53, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday December 14, 2020 at her home with her husband by her side, ending her eight year battle with Breast Cancer

Olga was born just outside St Petersburg Russia in 1967. She graduated from nursing school and worked in the Emergency Department at a local hospital as an ER nurse before coming to the United States in 1998.  Olga met her husband, best friend and soulmate John Conroy in July 2004 and they were inseparable till her last breath. Olga had a passion for traveling, cooking and fine clothing. When Olga would travel, she wasn’t content staying at a resort. She wanted to immerse herself in the local culture and stay in the local villages or bed and breakfast hotels. She and her husband traveled the world and experienced life to the fullest. Olga was a friend to all and her Russian accent instantly melted your heart when she greeted you. In 2006 she founded The Russian Tea Room and Grand Coquette a local ladies boutique in 2009. Her dream was to own a condo at One Seagrove Place in Florida, which she achieved in December 2018.

Olga is survived by her husband and soulmate John Conroy, step children Mike and Chris Conroy, Daughter In Law Austyn Conroy and her grandchild Thaxton Conroy. She also is survived by her Aunt Zoya and cousin Allaxander both residing in St Petersburg Russia.

She is preceded in death by her mother Raisa Kuznetsova, her husband’s mother Mary Conroy and a close friend Barbara Rooch.

In lieu of a burial, Olga preferred to be cremated and have her ashes spread along the beach outside her condo. There will be a celebration of life at her house in Baton Rouge after covid travel restrictions have been lifted as she has friends from around the world who will be coming for the celebration.
